Kuang Si Waterfall

The Kuang Si Falls are spectacular with many cascades at any time, but particularly so during the wet season. The main fall drops a distance of about 60 metres and is particularly impressive during the wet season - it is still well worth the visit during the dry season when the water becomes an attractive turquoise blue. Climb up next to the falling water right to the top, on a well maintained path, which can become wet so decent footwear is recommended. 

From the top you can look down to the base of the Kuang Si Falls - there is a fence to prevent you from falling over the edge. An excellent place to stop for a picnic, but you will have to bring your own food with you.

You can swim at the base of  the falls in the shaded shallow pools which are popular with families. 

There are plenty of eating places at the base of the Kuang Si Falls with tastes and prices to suit everyone.

Near the Kuang Si Falls is the Free the Bears Sanctuary where you can see Asian Black Bears; these bears have been rescued, many from abject suffering at the hands of their owners, and can live free from the dangers of poachers and hunters.
